At the heart of our community are our weekly virtual meetings, held exclusively for readers. These sessions provide a welcoming space where members come together to discuss books they've read, share perspectives, and explore themes, characters, and ideas in depth.
To further enhance the reading experience, we host Author Spotlight Sessions, where authors join us for live, interactive discussions. Following each spotlight, our members actively share reviews and reflections, extending each book's visibility — especially on platforms like Goodreads.

Smart G.
Smart G, the founder of Book Ascendancy Community, developed a deep passion for reading at a young age. What started as a personal love for books evolved into a mission to inspire others to read, learn, and share ideas.
Driven by this vision, she created Book Ascendancy Community to bring together people who appreciate the power of books, meaningful discussions, and continuous learning.
Today, she leads a global team of facilitators, curators, and creatives — all united by a single belief: that the right book in the right hands at the right time can change a life.

Our Reading Philosophy
We're not chasing book counts or speed-reading badges. We're building a culture of attention — one where readers, authors, and ideas meet without rushing.

We'd rather finish one book deeply than skim five. Members are encouraged to annotate, re-read, and sit with discomfort.

About Us — FAQ
When did Book Ascendancy start?
Book Ascendancy grew out of a small reading circle and was formally launched as an online club in 2023. We've expanded steadily across continents since.
Who runs the club day to day?
A volunteer-led team of curators, hosts, and community moderators — supported by our founder Smart G. and a rotating circle of guest hosts from the membership.
Are you affiliated with any publisher?
No. We're proudly independent. We accept author submissions and spotlight features but never trade coverage for inventory, and we never sell email lists.
How do you choose featured books?
Each title is selected through a mix of member nominations, curator picks, and seasonal themes. We balance debut voices with established authors across multiple genres.
